BC Conservation Foundation - maps their way to more money:

The BC Conservation Foundation, featured in our last newsletter, with the successful BEARAWARE program follow their own success tips. They continue to generate attractive and significant projects and to pull them off with aggressive fundraising. The Sensitive Habitat Inventory Mapping Project (SHIM) follows the theme of conservation in urban areas.

The SHIM project maps streams in order to protect sensitive habitat which is often lost simply because it's not mapped or mapped at too coarse a scale. The George Cedric Metcalf Foundation provided $20,000 to continue this critical work and has facilitated the creation of a SHIM Center at BCCF Guildford (Surrey).

Congratulations again to the BCCF on this successful fundraising project!
